Joseph Simmons was a villainous werewolf from the 1988 film, Lone Wolf.
Introduction[]
Joseph Simmons is a college professor who was shown lecturing his students and also breaking up a fight inside his class. He later spots Joel Jessup and Julie Martin inside the school's computer lab, as the pair was investigating a string of brutal full moon murders in the area, only to be reprimanded by Simmons. After the students leave, Simmons phones the police and attempts to identify Eddie Lupinski as the possible killer.
Heel Turn[]
Prof. Simmons' heel turn and reveal as a werewolf
Joel, Eddie, and Julie (along with Colleen and Darlene) learned that the killings were committed by a werewolf, who murdered Skip (Julie's previous boyfriend), Richard, and Eddie's uncle Jack. The film's climax saw Simmons alongside fellow teacher Mrs. Lipschitz hosting the school dance, only to suddenly leave after experiencing a coughing fit. The quintet of protagonists hid out inside the school waiting to kill the werewolf; all the while, Simmons was shown entering the school and heading to his classroom.
At that moment, Simmons turned heel and revealed himself as the werewolf; transforming under the full moon inside his classroom before pursuing Joel and Julie--who were unaware of Simmons' heel turn. After being fought off by Julie, the evil Simmons attacked several students and even Mrs. Lipschitz at the dance, and also attacked a police officer after returning to the school's hallways. Joel's attempts to convince the police that a werewolf was causing the rampage fell on deaf ears, and he searched for the gun that contained silver bullets, only for Eddie to appear with the gun and shoot Simmons to death. Simmons reverted to his human form while dying, resulting in the students seeing Simmons' heel persona and expressing shock.
